What do you do when you turn 31 and have a Friday night out without the kids?? Go grocery shopping. Yeah - you read that right. And more specifically - "coupon shopping" - which is a little different than just plain ol' grocery shopping.
Here's my picture:
I (We!) shopped at 4 stores - Cub Foods (I actually went there earlier in the day), Walgreens, Target, and Walmart.
My 2 most impressive deals are these:
--Walgreens:
6 Ragu spaghetti sauce $1.67ea. ($10)
1 Pert Plus ($3.79)
2 Biofusion shampoo/cond. $5.99ea. ($11.98)
I used:
$0.25/1 Ragu
$2/1 Pert Plus
$3 RR from last week
$5 off a $20 purchase
This made my total $16.17 with tax.
I expect to receive $11.98 + $3.79 ($15.77) in rebates for the shampoos, which means my bags of groceries will cost me $0.40! (Plus I got back $4 RR for my next purchase)
--Cub Foods:
4 South Beach single serve pizzas $2.50ea. (I ate one before I took the picture!)
2 packages Bic Pens $0.50ea.
1 can of Planter's Honey Roasted peanuts $2.59 (not shown - I gave them to the guys at work)
2 lbs of grapes $1.99/lb
I used:
4 $2/1 pizza coupons
1 $1/2 Bic stationary
1 $3/1 Planter's coupon (the pizzas qualified as Kraft items)
1 $1.99 off grapes at Cub
My total after coupons and tax = $3.83
and I got back a coupon for $3.00 off my next purchase at Cub Foods!
--The rest of the items in the picture, I bought with just regular coupons. Everything in the picture cost about $4 after all the rebates and coupons are applied :)
Happy Birthday!
