Conversations With Reagan

Its been a while since I've written down some of the funny things the kids have said. I regret that.

Reagan's been growing out of her jeans so I got a couple more pairs out of her bin for her to start wearing. Today, she put on a brand new pair - I took the tags off this morning.

Keep in mind that this conversation was on the way home from school:

Reagan: "Mom - bad news."
Me: "Uh oh. What?"
Reagan: "I got a hole in my new jeans today. Actually -- I got three holes in them."
Me: "Oh honey, that's ok. They're new and they came that way."
Reagan: "What? Why?!"
Me: "I don't know. They're supposed to look cool I guess."
Reagan: "Well I don't think they look cool with holes in them."
Me: "oh. Well, um... ok."
Reagan: "And actually they kind of bug me."

Jackson is Three Months Old

Here's a look back at Jackson in January:

Jackson has a really cute dimple in his right cheek... :)
"Watching football" with Daddy:

Riley and her brother, "Jack Jack" :)

Jackson's mini mohawk:

I've been trying to get a picture of Jackson's super sad face. This isn't quite it, but it was close... :)

This month Jackson started sleeping though the night. His day typically starts out at 6am - he eats every 3(ish) hours and goes to bed around 10pm. He is happy most of the time -- except if you leave him alone in a room. He prefers to be held while he's sleeping and he just figured out he can touch things with his hands if he tries really hard... He is sweet, sweet, sweet and we all love him :)

100 Days of Kindergarten

Its hard to believe it was only 100 school days ago that I was crying my eyes out because my "baby" was leaving the nest.

Here she is after 700 hours of Kindergarten and my fears were unnecessary -- Reagan is still sweet and now a lot better at reading and handwriting. :)

This made me smile :)

And in case you were considering giving Reagan $100, you should be aware of how she would spend it...

While Daddy Was Gone

Joel took a ski trip and while he was gone Reagan got Strep Throat. I had to take all four kids to Urgent Care by myself that Sunday morning to get Reagan an antibiotic. Just before we left for our appointment, Riley did this to her hair with a Window Crayon.

I told her to keep her hat on while we were at the clinic but you can't make Riley do anything. It was a long 5 days.

New Year's Tradition

We've made fondue our family tradition for New Year's Eve...

We started with cheese fondue:
Then had chocolate for desert:

I went to three stores to try to find strawberries. I finally found them at Walmart for $4.88/lb. Riley and Grant were happy and ate most of them. :)
