How Can it Be?!?

One year old - and yet still "my baby". This poor boy - he's probably never going to understand why mom always cries on his birthdays... :) Yesterday I was getting choked up thinking of all the "lasts" that were happening - and really -- I was just being silly - I know that. Its hard because these kids can't stay little forever - I would be certifiable if I didn't think there was light at the end of the diaper tunnel. But I still want to bottle up all these baby moments and save them. Its kind of like holding wet sand - I try, but I really can't.

One year ago - wearing size 3 month clothes. He doesn't even look like the same kid :) Now he easily weighs twice as much and is wearing 18 month size clothes: Jackson and cousin Jonah with their Busytown cakes: Eating his piece of cake: He's so darn cute with that dimple! Jackson is maybe the most timid of our four. He's still toothless and terrified of strangers. He's happiest when the other kids are happy & laughing and also when Daddy gets home from work and picks him up. He loves being outside but his "scooching" and dirt-eating-habit make going outside challenging. :) And speaking of "scooching"... No crawling. Just scooching.
