What's Up?

Hey! Does anyone actually read this anymore?? :)

What's up with us?
Reagan: Likes school ~ most days. My new theory is that she uses up all her self-control at school and comes home whiny and complainy. She's not always unpleasant, but I do not enjoy the after-school time like I wish I could. It doesn't help that I am grumpy, tired and unpleasant by 4pm either. :)

Grant: I now have a 3-year-old who is potty-trained! You would think this is the answer to all my problems, but I am starting to worry that my bathroom will never be the same (*ahem* ...clean...) ever again. I am particularly adverse to nauseating smells and bending down right now, so life in the bathroom has been especially unpleasant with Grant. But, I said I wouldn't have three in diapers and now I won't ~ hooray!

Riley: Has a stubborn streak. Oh, that girl - the dilema... because she can also be the sweetest and cutest with her blond curls. I've thought many hours about Reagan growing up and I've even given Grant's future some thought-time - but today I looked at Riley and realized that she's closer to being two than she is to being one -- that scared me...

It is too cliche to say she's growing up fast, but she is. Today she insisted on wearing glitter shoes and I realized that she can climb onto our bed by herself. She's talking more and more - "nana" "nighnigh" - it makes me smile. :) She still sleeps with a pacifier and wants to read Brown Bear, Brown Bear while she cuddles - so my baby is not lost. Yet.

Baby #4: I at least have some clothes ready for him... He will spend his first years in a hot pink room and I have high hopes that he'll fall down the stairs fewer times than Riley has. Joel said yesterday that he figures three days in the hospital will be adequate time to come up with a name... Let's hope so. :)

Lastly, Joel has almost finished our new wall in the basment. It's not a big change, it is just closing off our "room" and it creates a third room with a door. When it's done, the three older kids will then move into this "new" room. :) It should work well ~ the other option was to put a trailer out back... :)

I read it, too!! Was just thinking about you... good to have an update! Can't wait to see what name you come up with. We went into the hospital without one for Cainan! :)

I still read - our Panera visits are too far between to keep caught up on the Bartletts. :)

I'm still reading! (ahem...Sandy, that is a great idea to use the time to post on your own blog because I still check yours too!! ;)). That's awesome that Grant is potty trained--you must have gotten it done quickly! Now, I need some tips for getting Tyson to go #2 (TMI people, sorry!)! 3 boys at my house...your bathroom will seem clean compared to mine! =)
