She learned to ride her "big girl" bike this weekend. She didn't like it before because it was too "tippy" but today was the day she decided to ride. And ride she did! After 3 trips to the end of the road and back (about 1.5 miles!) she is a tired girl!!
Grant:
Is learning to walk more every day! He is getting fairly steady, but he is still faster at crawling... Grant insists on using his own spoon at meals now, and is getting good at his "baby sign" language. He loves eating and drinking, so it is no surprise that he picked up the signs for "more", "eat" and "drink" really fast. :)
Joel:
This morning Joel bought and installed a new garbage disposal in our kitchen :) Our old one was REALLY loud (and broke on Friday) and the new one is so nice! Joel got this job done in record time - so fast, I didn't think to take a picture. I guess he's the only update without one -- sorry, Joe. :(
Sally:
I read on someone's blog about saving money by making your own laundry soap. I calculated that my chapest "coupon" laundry soap costs about 9 cents per load and the homemade stuff will cost about 3 cents. Guessing at the number of loads I do, I think this will save $40 to $50 per year. I'll try anything once, so I went and bought the stuff she recommended and made it today. I'll let you know how it works :) It was fun and felt very old fashioned -- I even thought about taking my new soap and a washboard down to the creek behind our house... ok, not really :)
